Thanks for the tip re: investors bikes. I will go have a look. I think there is a reason for investor's nickname.....
Joe
I would not consider upgrading an 88 to a 103. I don't know much about all this but I know that would be a bad move. I would rather sell the 88 and have a brand new 103 fitted.
Great opinion Joe. I just need to find out the price difference between the stage 3-95 and a brand new 103?. Thanks for the tip.

Ummm...I hit 165 kph in the bush ("bush" means "country" in aussie slang).
And yup, I agree I need to slow down and I have. I won't do more than 25kph over the limit from now onwards....that way I may get a big fine but I won't loose my ticket.
And as for your SE stage 1 kit, weeelll, all I can say is it's early days yet buddie .

If it's an 88 now, I would do a stage 3-95", If it's a new purchase I would go with a 103. My opinion only.

Look at www.heavydutycycles.com and then click on work estimates. Canadian pricing, but you can do the exchange.

Joe
The stage 3 works out to be around AUS$10,000 on that URL you game me. Thanks.
I did deduct the airflo and mufflers because I already have them.
You get the new 6 speed gear box which is the most expensive item for around AUS$2,800 followed by the S&S Gear and Cam Set (around AUS$1,400) and then the Big Bore 1550cc for around $AUS1,000. The rest is odds and ends plus labor costs (labor is around AUS$2,600). It all adds up anyway.
I am wondering what I would get for the 1450cc bore and the original gearbox if I sold them? Are the original parts that have to come off to do the stage 3-95" worth anything?
Thanks again for the info/url...
And be careful OzSpringer02, you just never know when you will start falling behind again [8D].

It's alot of money! If you are going to keep the bike it's worth it, and if you get all the work done at once the labour rate will be much better, since you won't be paying for things twice.
As for selling your old parts, I have a huge shelf with all of the original parts that I have switched up, and the only thing I ever got rid of was the mirrors, free to a buddy that crashed his bike.
You should e-mail Heavyduty and see if they can recommend a builder in Aus. If you don't know, Donny Petersen is a long time builder, and biker, and knows everyone in the business. He probably can recommend someone.

Thanks again for the tips Joe. I can get this done by my Dealer but I won't be doing it just yet so I will have time to check out my options.
Ummm, Pizzaboy, not what I need to read. What do you mean by "low 70's"? I guess thats not good, would you know why?
