rear fender off center
I have had my heritage for about 2 months and this is driving me crazy since I got it. My rear fender is off center to the left far enough that it is about a 1/4 inch away from the tire. How can I adjust it without taking it to the dealer?

It may have been bumped and "tweaked" out of shape. Grab ahold of it and pull/twist it into place.. It wont crack the paint unless you go ape on it.

If you are saying that the gap between the rear fender and tire is closer on left side, that is normal at least on my 2005 Fat Boy.

I have the same problem, can't figure it out yet. My buddy pointed out when he was riding behind me the other day. Is that normal?

That is normal. \\; I have 2005 FLSTFSC. \\; I asked dealer about the off center and he told me the 1/4" gap is normal.

Same problem with my fender. \\; It's over far enough that when I put on new rubber I couldn't fit a 140 under it.

RE: rear fender off center
This is normal, but it's not the fender that is offset, it is the rear wheel. It is set this way to keep the bike in balance, as one side is heavyer than the other. If the wheel were centered the bike would "pull" to one side hard when you let go of the bars.

Monkeyman, not sure who told you that but thats not why. Its just a fender adjustment thats required. Loosen the fender strut bolts and push the fender the other way and tighten them up. Just did it on mine when i installed my new wheels and 160 rear tire.

I stared at my Heritage long and hard one night....I don't even want to go into the details.
