Default Front end wobble

06 FXSTSI, 13K on the clock. New tire. I have noticed that when at speed when I let go of the handle bars, the front end starts to shake/wobble. Very slowly at first and then more and more. Nothing uncontrolable, but it is still there. As long as I am holding the handlebars, no problem, but when I let go it slowly develops a wobble. Any input appreciated...........balabce, bent rim, bearings????

I have had this on more then one bike and it has always turned out to be uneven tread on the front tire. I would look at my back tire and tire pressure in both tires. also look at the alignment of the rear wheel. My old man told me to look at the neck bearings on my heritage when I had this problem as well. On that bike it turned out to be bad alignment of the rear causing uneven tread on the front which caused the wobble.&nbsp\\; Hope I helped.

First thing to check, because its easy&nbsp\\;is the front neck bearings, if they are loose it can cause both the shakes and uneven tire wear that can exaggerate the problem.

The tires have 5k on them and look really good. I checked the rear tire alignment at the shop before I rode off to make sure it was aligned right.
I am going to retorque the neck bearings this weekend and see if that helps. Thanks to all that supplied input for my questions......

I had the exact same thing happen to me with my 04 Deuce when I put new tires on it. Harley claimed it was normal. Bull!! I upped the tire pressure to 38 psi and the wobble went away and has never come back. That was 9K miles ago... Hope this helps!

When you check the neck bearings and everything else, check the front wheel bearings out. Been seeing problems with them

Wobble always starts at the tire or wheel and the neck bearings only control this with a friction effect.
