Winter's almost over

Hey Guys

April's around the corner and I'm about to take my bike
out of storage. I was just wondering what I should be doing
to put my bike back in riding condition? It was stored in my
buddies garage which is unheated. I had the bike on a lift, took
out the battery, filled the tank and added stabil, put a teaspoon
of oil in each cylinder.

start it up and go riding.

Sounds like you did everything right.

Might smoke a little from oil in cylinders otherwise its ready to go.

Rent a trailer and bring the motorcycle to my house immediately.PM me and I will give you the address. Fill it with fresh 92 octane premium fuel along the way and wash it thoroughly. Put the bike in my garage on the right side near my low rider but not too close. Leave key in ignition. ( My wife will open the garage door for you). Look on top of the black craftsman tool chest and find the roll of scotch tape. Tape 5 crisp new $100 bills to the headlight so as not to mar the clean finish on the paint. Close trailer and return home. Return in 1 month and I will have your bike ready for the road with a fully charged battery. There may be some excess mileage on the odometer but pay no attention to that as those are "Spring retrofit miles" and are good for the motor. Put bike back in trailer and return home

Your bike is now ready to ride for the season.

Feel free to pass my name along to any of your friends who own Harley's as I also do June late refits, 4th of July retrofits and late Summer August break-in free of charge. And don't forget about our Labor Day Special!

Bset of luck! KB:D

This should be a given, but make sure you check your tire pressure and add air as necessary. They probably lost a little pressure during the cold months (I know mine did).

Oh yeah, and enjoy that first ride of the season! [8D]

Hey KB
There's only one problem. My wife comes with the bike
and she's a real nag. Do you still want to prime my bike
for me?

P.S. will do on the tires Krenshaw. Thanks.

Ah just get on it and ride. I leave mine in a tin shed all winter. Been doing this for years and never had a problem. The bikes are tuff as nails. I dump a third of injector cleaner with the first three tanks of gas, thats about it. Starting to get the itch too man, can't wait.

When I used live on Vancouver Island on the west coast you could ride almost year round. We would get a week or two of wet snow and that was about it, it was awsome. Now I live in the prairies and it seems I get two weeks of riding and the rest of the year its snowing. Oh well thats life. Just glad to ride when I can.
