True Duals on a Heritage.
I am changing my direction here a bit and gonna go for the true duals on my '07 Heritage. Who here has what brands of duals? I am looking for feedback on the different manufactures out there.
Right now I am looking at the V&H's... anyone prefer anything over them? Another question for those running duals on a Heritage or softail. When you ride two up... does your passenger complain of heat? Looking at how the primary side runs with the V&H and it looks like it could be a heat issue on the passenger's foot or leg? tx. Oh ya, pics would be nice if you have them. |
I love mine. They look and sound great and are easy to install.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClahuZG_te0 https://www.hdforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=264547 That was above and beyond the call of duty white trash. The vid was great and the pics also. You have me sold on them with just one post. Did you use baffles or know what they came with? Just the stock baffle v&h put in? |
White-Trash dude you should go into movie producing :)!

See, I've always had this question. Are not the new Heritage's already true duals, just not split down the sides. The two pipes don't connect in any way, so is that NOT dual exhaust already???
Maybe I'm just ignorant of the terminology, but that's why I'm asking. |
They are just the stock baffle from V&H. I do have the optional fishtail tips. There is an option for a quiet baffle. The stock Heritage pipes are connected by an unseen exhaust tube. If you look behind each muffler you can see where this tube connects them.

LOL! I'm gonna have to take a look at this tonight after the bike cools off.

I love my V&H duals. I would vote for the quiet baffles. They have a really good sound.

I have V&H true Duals on my Heritage too. The passenger heat issue is not a problem at all. The bend on the left side of the pipe that goes around the primary will burn you if your not careful. There great pipes and they sound great.

They are great, you will enjoy them. I have V&H and they sound good too.
