1st Service - major difference

Rocker C just came back from first service. Head bearings were loose, front end used to judder over bumps on breaks - it was horrid. It's fixed now and it has made a massive difference.

Also, shift was REALLY clunky, used to crash into gear. Now it's much better, what could have been adjusted to fix that?

Front brake also feels much firmer at the leaver.

All in, 1st service has made the bike feel the £16K it cost, I was beginning to wonder what I had paid for!

Synthetic oil in transmission? It made a big difference on mine.

I am taking my Rocker C in on tuesday for its first service. I hope it feels just as good as yours when it's done.

My first service made all the difference i also was wondering about the 20k I just spent,All in all they said they adjusted the head set, clutch cable, lubed up the levers put synthetic oil in all components but they also did something they didn't put on the R.O.The 1k service took almost 4 hours and I waited and watched, the tech drove my bike twice, second time he put the bike in a different bay in the shop and I couldn't see what he did but about 45 mins later it was outside and done..I remembered when I sat down with the finance guy he said it was very important the bike come back for the 1k service that he offfered to throw it in with the finacing,I asked why and how much he told me that there was a downlaod that they do to the ecm after the break in period that I would need and it was about 350.00 for the 1k service. I told him I would just pay cash for the service when the time comes and I did and what a difference it made. I went from 31 miles to a gallon to almost 38mpg and I clock in at 270lbs..Thats a hugh difference I'd say...Just my experience here in CT..I don't think it is the same every where but I did read something simular as my experience from some one else..

My Rocker is going in for the first service next week. I can't wait, I've spoken to a few guys who have just recently taken their bikes for their first service and they all say the same thing, it makes a world of difference.
