Rush Slip-On's '08 Heritage
I completed installing Rush Slip-On's yesterday (2.25" bafflers with Nighter Rider Xied's). I fired her up sounded really good but noticed a little vibration. Stalled out several times from a stand still and never could get above 70 mph. Keep riding thinking the EFI would self adjust after a few minutes. Went home found exhaust leaks from both headers. After fixing the leaks went on another ride - same problem, however this time I noticed oil coming out of the front muffler.
I figured out the problem and I very happy with my purchase and the exhaust note is great. Can you guess what the problem was? The fix had nothing to do with the installation. |
Ummm............ you blew the piston rings out of the front cylinder and then had them replaced?
Kidding of course. :) |
overfilled your oil tank?

The front spark plug wire was off the plug! I worked all day long trying to figure out the problem. My first and only thought was the lack of back pressure until I noticed the oil in the muffler. Anyway I'm very please with the Rush Slip-On's - the chrome is excellent, the install was simple and the tone makes the bike sound like a Harley.

70 MPH on one cylinder, not bad. You should be able to get at least 140 on two. :)
