need advice on 2000 Heritage
With the advancing season of winter I'm starting to think about some winter mods. #1 I want to get rid if the gawdy lookin rear turn signal bar I've seen some nice sleeker narrow ones on bikes what are my options? #2 The narrow rear tire I want to put a fatter tire on the rear does that require a different swingarm? What is the widest tire you can put on the stock setup? #3 whats the best shocks to put on a softail IMHO Harley Davidson can't make good seats or shocks lookin for better shocks already took care of the seat. Thanks

Your best mod would be to move to where you can ride year round.

Man you guys are tough:) Guy is looking for info on his bike one minute, next he is looking for a new house....LOL Some good questions. I have had some of those same mods flying around in my head also. 1.) I did replace my TS bracket with the narrow one that HD sells, part number 68611-98. 2.) Have no idea myself??? 3.) I am sure you can not go wrong with an air ride setup. There is a couple places that make them for our bikes. Good luck with the mods, and by the way.....where is the pictures of the bike????? We will need some "now shots" and "after shots":D |
