Default "Pursuit" Indicator on Dash?

I just picked up my '00 FLSTC. I noticed on the dash, next to the "Engine" indicator is a "Pursuit" indicator. Do I have an old police bike? If so, it must've never been used on the force, 'cause it only has 20k miles for an 8 year old bike. Most police bikes I see have 50k+ miles in just a few years.

I don't think so. I've never seen a Heritage Softail police bike.

My 99 Heritage had the same thing and I bought the bike brand new. I was told it was in all the speedos but only lit up on the police bikes? It was difficult to see unless the sun was shining on it just right. Ignore it and it will go away.

Are our cops really so dumb they need an indicator light to tell them when they're pursuing someone?

There are no Softail police bikes. Lots of Big Twins share the same speedo head. My RKC has the same defunct light in the speedo face.

Default Not

I'm sure you already know that's not a real police bike. Its a special edition bike honoring police that is only sold to police.

I've seen a bunch of bikes around that year that had that on the speedo.
