Fangs and head temp 103 engine
I am trying out various wind options on my softail slim. In addition to a fairing, I installed a set of fangs (fork mounted wind deflectors) to see what effect they would have.
The engine head temperature, as reported by my FP3, runs around 250 without the fangs, and around 265 with the fangs installed.
Anyone know what the recommended operating range is for HEAD temperature (not oil temp or intake temp)???
I've done a search and can't quite find what I am looking for.
Thanks!!

Here is a thread that might help you. I leave my fangs on the Fatboy year round. I figure the bike gets the hottest in city traffic and traffic jams (especially sturgis) and parade mode will kick in if necessary.

Oh, I couldn't resist posting some pics of my Fatboy with fangs.
