Axle Covers

Anyone know where to find any black axle covers for a 2006 train?

I like these by HD, but they say they'll only fit 08 and up...what changed?

For front axel nut covers see:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/brows...e=en_US&page=2

You can always paint the above black.

For rear axel nut covers:

You can find Script Swingarm Axle Cover Kit (first picture below) at http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

The part number is: 41661-06 [Fits '06-'07 FXST, FXSTB, FXSTC, FXSTS and FLSTFSE2 models. (Will not fit with saddlebags)]. Price: $201.95

However you can get a much better deal at Zanotti Motor Company at:

https://www.zanottimotor.com/shopping/pLookUp.php

enter the above part number and it will give you their price $151.10 and you can order it.

or you can get the SoftailŽ Swingarm Axle Cover (second picture below) which is cheaper (Part number 48056-97B which Fits '87-'07 SoftailŽ models (except FLSTF, FLSTN and FXSTD models with stock shotgun exhaust). (Will not work fit Saddlebags.) Price: $89.82

Those are nice. I like the round ones though. I might just buy the chrome ones and have them powder coated.

anyways, man I bought me a set of those kuryakyn lighted rear covers, looks good at night. you can always powder coat or go the cheap route and prime n rattle can yourself. the rattle can version you gotta go back and touch up after about 2 years or so...
