I would like replace my oil tank with a black one to match my black bike. I am not a wrench and would probably really make a mini disaster. Any idea how much I should pay an Indy to do the job?

I used a AC fitting tool to remove the two oil lines from the tank.

Is there a trick/tool needed to reinstalling the two oil lines back to the oil tank, or do they just snap right in?

Thanks

I know its an old post but did anyone have any info on removal / installing the oil tank lines without the Specialty tool HD-44455. I called a local shop and $100+ and 6 weeks out..

Im just getting ready to roll on a tank swapout.

Thanks

You don't need the special tool from HD.
The lines do indeed just snap back in.

A pair of small needle nose to un-clip the lines and they just snap back in.
