Default Fat tired Deuce / Feuce photo? (pronounced Foose)

I just picked up an 04 Deuce as a project bike and I'm wondering if anyone has put a fat boy style wheel / tire on a similar bike, Deuce / Night Train and has a photo. I searched for some but they were old and the links are dead.

If you've done this was it a straight forward swap? It looks like thay should interchange with the obvious exception of the fender.

Thanks!

Nice. I don't care for the spokes front wheel but I think my spare Softail wheel just found a new home.

Here are a few bits I found at Arlen Ness...

Default Doh, that was easy

In the absence of anyone telling me I couldn't do it (not that I would have cared if you did) I used the time off this Holiday to take the 21" tire off my '$8,000 04 "beater" Deuce and install one I found at a garage sale for $20. I thought I would be pleased and I am. My goal for this bike is to have a very cool custom with less than 10K miles for under $10,000 dollars. The bike had all you see here with the exception of the parts I'm noting below.

My inspiration for the project is my reintroduction into scooters after a 12 year hiatus only to find myself on a fatboy someone spent $42,000 on at a dealership which I picked up for $15,000 with 1500 miles on. That was one expensive ride.

The whole swap was as simple as it could possibly be even for a guy who'd never taken a wheel off a HD. (I've taken them off almost everything else from a redline hotwheel to a caterpillar 988)

It's the look I'm after so while I welcome your input it's a little late to have an opinion. While I'm sold on the concept I'm out of money for awhile. I think my plan is to go with a standard wide front end and a dual headlamp but for now money and time say I need to live with these awhile.

Other changes I've made were to remove the belt gaurds, install the Stage 1 Big Sucker air cleaner assembly, install the Crobin Gunfighter seat ($200 "new" demo unit off e-bay) and install the smoked lenses on the turnsignal, replace the weathered rear footpegs, replace the weathered rear master cylinder, plug wires and install new plugs. I have chrome front master and clutch kit to replace the pitted black units shown on the bike ($80 new on e-bay) and I need to go through the carb in the coming weeks it's plugged up with something. I picked up an Arlen Ness die-cast mirror off the clearance rack at AN in Dublin for $13.50 (thanks Kevin)

I really hated the big beach bars on the Deuce but I kind of like them now. I have a pair of LA Choppers Outlaw Z Bars for this bike but I might wait and see what the bike looks like with the new forks on it.

What do you think of the beach bars? Would you put the Z-Bars or leave them alone??? I did bring the bars up level after this photo was taken.

I'm thinking a bullet nose piece... Anyone??

Looks great. Do you have a head-on photo? Was it just a straight swap? Axle the same? Inquiring minds want to know!

How does it ride? What noticable differences from the 21" x 2.15"
