2005 Heritage Classic
The attachment is really quite straight forward EXCEPT there is no mention (or diagram) of how to reattach the saddlebag support with the new "relocation bracket". Looks to me then that the front saddlebag support merely goes behind the new footboard mount and the longer footboard attachment allen bolt just goes through them both into the frame threads? Sound correct to anyone? Thanks.

 

Correct.

 

If I remember correctly the bracket attaches behind the frame and is held on with a nut. It won't go between the frame and the footboard. Attach the footboard and use the long bolt length to add the bracket in behind. Put the large nut on to hold it in place.
