Default Here we go again.

So after making tons of progress on the bike over the last week we hit a wall. The dopes who sold me the front wheel failed to inform me that the hub and the bearings were the wrong size !!!!!

So this morning when we tried mounting the front wheel we found out the hard way that the hubs and bearings are wrong. So now i'm scrambling trying to get these hubs and bearings so we can keep chugging along on this thing.

What sucks too is that the front fender is all done but we can't send it out to paint until we test fit it on the bike..... and without the front wheel we can't test fit the fender, therefore the fender can't go out for paint.

I'm gonna call Arlen Ness later on today to see if and how much these parts are going to be.

Any of you guys have any web sites where i can find hubs and bearings for a 21 X 2.15 inch front wheel for an 08 Rocker????

I know how you feel...was expecting to have my rear tins back at the end of the week from painters and he just called me saying it looks like another week...but I guess that goes with the territory...lol...unfortunately...couldn't ride the bike anyways with all the snow and ice on the roads, but would have been nice to see the new fender and paint on the bike...hang tough

i actually didn't get the wheels from Ness, I got them from Motosport.com. they have awesome prices on that site man..... i'm not too upset with the guy who sold me the wheel (i'm' giving the the benefit of the doubt for now) i'm just disappointed cause it's gonna take longer to have the bike put back together.

but you're right Mike, it's probably not the first time it's happened.

you know what, you are absolutely right. with all this kind of custom work and relying on vendors it's actually a miracle things like this don't happen more often.
