Default 02' Fatboy tires

I am looking to get some new tires, I really want some white walls. any suggestions on good brands to get that someone on a Navy budget can afford, also any suggestions on brands to stay away from would be great as well. Oh yeah which is better tube or tubeless, and what really is the difference in handling/wear length etc etc.

This is my first bike. I mechanicaly inclined, well I used to work on old chevy muscle cars (not a certified mechanic or anything but can do the basics and such.

how hard is it to change tires your self, I also need to do the brakes before too long are these things that can be done at home with out to much trouble or is it owrth to bite the bullet and pay for the service somewhere?

I have basic tools, and plan on getting a bike jack as soon as I can (certainly before I attempted to change my tires)

any and all tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
