Got back from riding today and had just filled up the tank. I put some stabil in and kind of rocked the bike back and forth to slosh the gas and mix the stabil. I had some gas run out of the vent hose in front of the mud guard on to the floor. I assume I just sloshed some gas out the vent? Anyone else heard of this?

 

Did the same thing and I think it came out the overflow, which is at the rear of my bike.

 

a common occurance...especially sloshing a full tank around

I've filled mine, moved away from the pump, went in to get a drink, came out and guess what! Gas on the ground. (over flow)

 

Had this happen too...

 

Has happened to mine also. Happens especially when its hot & you get it really full. The gas expands, its alot cooler when its underground in the tank.

 

That's why I love this forum...if I had the money I'd buy all of you guys Christmas presents.

 

ditto although i had a bad gas line,i also watched a friend fill up
then after he was done it pissed all over the place smells good though
