They're on my shortlist as are the 517s and 508s. Question for you. As noticed that with the bigger pullback the handgrips point back more. This looks like it would put a twist in the wrist (rototiller effect) that would be uncomfortable on long rides. Have you found that to be the case?

I agree. I swapped my stock Fatboy bars for Heritage bars. SO much better. Before the reach was too much. My arms were either extended and locked or I was leaning forward which made my lower back unhappy.

The Heritage bars are juuuusssst right.

I still have the Stock bars on my 2007. I do have them pulled back. I sometimes think about changing them, but I am not sure. It is not the bars that cost the most it is getting the cabling to fit without having to change it all out. I sure could use ones that have a friendlier bend so my wrist are at a more neutral angle.

Kept the stock ones on my 06 Heritage. Just pulled them forward a bit. Very comfortable feel. Look like mini apes.

I have the stock bars on my 08 but I moved them a little bit closer to me. When I sat on that bike in the showroom, everything was perfect for me. I could hear the bike singing to me, you know what I mean?

It all depends on your height, your weight and your reach. What works for one might not work for another.

I have the stock bars on mine as well - I don't like them. I'm going to a swap meet this weekend in hopes to find some 14" Apes and Cables...

Angry Stock Heritage Bars

I have kept the stock bars on my 1999, 2002 and now my 2008 Heritage. On each Heritage I did pull the bars back,I've been across the US East to West and back six times. I've been pleased with the way the bars feel. However after reading some of the replies about having pain between the shoulder blades which I also get after about 300 miles. I'm beginning to wonder if the bars are my problem also. The pain has caused me to have some right miserable miles on a 500 mile day. For all this time I thought it was my old age and creaky bones acting up.
