Default Fat Boy--Favorite medium loud (not loud) pipes

I like Vance and Hines and looking there. I really liked my pro pipes on my heritage, but would like to hear your recommendations. Sound clips would be nice too!

Also, do you recommend having pipes put on with purchase (they're giving me 20% off on pipes) or trying out the stock pipes first?

Last time, I just had them put them on before picking up the new bike.

Thanks....

I would have them put on first, if you want to spend the $ to do that. I had my stock pipes on for less than a week, hated them. As for the sound go to you tube and search and you should find a few vids

Khrome Werks 3" HP Plus could be exactly what you're looking for.

I love my set for sound, looks and performance.

I like the pipe that I got on mine, and I love the deep rumble it puts out. Not too loud, just right.

That's exactly what I was planning on, but not sure what the Fuelpak is. Is that a fuel metering computer? Is it a necessity for the Big Radius's. Can they just be remapped and be done with it? Very nice look and hopefully not too loud for the cops around here. Have you ever had a problem in that regard? Tickets for being too loud? Just wondering. Thanks for your reply.

V&H Big Shots Stagard sound great on my '06 Fatboy. If you go with having them installed at the dealer see if they will throw in a free re-map (performance gains with the new pipes).

The FuelPak velcros to your battery. You can install it yourself and get the settings directly off the V&H site for whatever configuration you have. If you're just doing pipes and A/C then you'll be like the FuelPak. It's easy to use and not too expensive. It can also be moved to a new bike in the future.

The V&H Longshots are med loud IMO with baffles left in. The exhaust pipe is behind the ear so that helps too but I wouldn't want them any louder than they are already !

I've got V&H Bigshot Longs and they're louder and added a good amount of torque over the SE II slip ons that they replaced......
