Default To Ride or Not To Ride That is The Question

I am in upstate NY I bought my bike in November three days after our last 55 degree day, so I have never ridden it I visit it daily and talk to her and promise soon well it is in the upper 40's today maybe even 50 when I get home cloudy but still 50, I know the hazard of the salt and sand you might slide it in a corner or on the take off at a intersection but hell 50 come on should I chance it? Sunday I even took her outside took some pictures. What would you guys do any suggestions?

I'm in Connecticut and if/when I can clear the ice the distance from the shed to the driveway I'm goin' for a ride tomorow (50 degrees forcasted).

I'll definitely be on the look-out for salt/sand and choose my route carefully.
