Default '00 Twin Cam... Cam cover replacement?!?!

Ok, my oem cam cover is all scarred, knicked, and the chrome looks horrible on it. It doesn't have very much clearance for the front exhaust pipe either. I'm not sure if I want to go back with another stocker, so... Anybody have any experience with any other than stock cam covers? Any pics?

The Woods belt system looks killer, but is very $$$$...

you should consider getting a part that looks good with the rest of your bike. if you get a piece that looks great in the catalog but when you put it on does not flow with the rest of the bike, it is going to look retarded. keep that in mind

Yeah, I'm the kind of guy that really likes the "mechanicals" of things. That's why I don't have any additional chrome covers on anything on the bike, ie. axle covers. I like to see the mechanics, so I put chrome axle's, nuts, washers, etc... That's why I like the Woods belt drive system, but I just can't swing that kind of $$$$ right now.

Anyways, the cam cover on there now has got to go soon... The blemishes in it are too easily seen...

If you're into chrome and need more pipe clearance, check out the Joker Machine piece.

That's a good look'n piece, and it'll match my tranny side cover as well. $339.99 from J&P... Let's see who else has them...

I'm not too keen on the RSD piece. If money was no issue it would be the Woods belt system 1st, and the Joker piece 2nd... But money isn't growing on any my trees here lately, so we'll have to just wait and see what I can come up with...

The Woods system is cool but not a big fan of belt drives on camshafts. The Joker piece is very nice, I still have a stock one, soon to be in chrome
