What is the most comfortable Softail Standard 2up seat?
I need some help from you guys over here on the softail side. I have a friend who rides an 03 Softail Standard. He needs a two-up seat that is more comfortable for his new wife. Her back and butt can't take more than 70 miles a day on the one they have now. They like the look and feel of the seat that comes on the Softail Customs but we haven't found anyone who makes one even similiar to it for the Standard. I told him to look at the Mustang Regal Duke and a backrest or just buy a dresser to haul her around on. Can anyone give me a suggestion for a seat that he can explore? In this case, comfort is more important than looks.

"If" the Standard's rear strut holes will match up to the Custom's sissy bar, and they really like the Custom seat look, then this would be an option. I really like mine. You won't find better rider hip and back support even without the "optional" back support (don't even use mine) and the passenger seat is a 12x12, maybe not the widest, but excellent quality, and will break in for a custom fit after about 1k.

I had the seat from the "Custom" put on my 06 Standard (see picture) and for me it was a very comfortable seat. However my wife just hated it, it was to narrow and not enough padding for her. She is 5'4" and weighs in at about 130 lbs.
I went with the Mustang Wide Touring seat and couldn't be happier. I can do a 300 mile day with no problems, and the wife is a happy passenger.
