...I'm about to retire from the Marine Corps and ordered an 09 Deluxe in black. I'm still kicking arount the idea of the white gold pearl and silver or the pearl blue but the wife and daughters say that the black "bitercyle" looks badass. I'm planning on taking delivery in Charlotte, NC and riding to KY once I land from Okinawa then back to NC...already have plans for a Mustang seat, True Duals with the fish tips and some bags. Any thoughts?

 

Go black... will make it less pretty .... I dont get why the deluxe is a girl bike, I thought it was the sporty?? is the deluxe like the boxter in the porsche range??? I reallly dont understand why??????... please explain...

My stolen 05 Fatboy was White Pearl, boy did that look great in the sun against chrome, etc. If I had the option of that color on the 08, I wouldn't have bought this 105th Anniversary model. But, choice were thin over here in Germany, and I don't care for the graphics on the other 08 models. I vote white.

 

I thought sporters were girl bikes as well...I really don't give a ****, I like the deluxe. Boxters are pretty nice as well...I prefer a 56 speedster myself. Sorry if the black is "ugly" My 6 year old said that's what she likes...LOL Daddy is still leaning toward the flame pearl blue or the white and silver...Maddie usually wins though...she wants to know if she gets to pick between the Buell or the Deluxe for her ride.

 

Get what you want. Remember you only get one "First Bike."

 

Deluxe isnt a chick bike. It's just that a lot of chicks like em and ride em. I'd get one and if I did, it would be the white with blue.

 

get whichever one you want - as long as its a HD.

White, as it's not quite as common as the other color....

 

Deluxe is a nice bike. I don't know where some of these ill informed individuals get their information from. I am shocked some times they can put one foot in front of another let alone ride a bike. I would get the two tone or color not black.

 

I dont believe any motorcycle, especially Harleys are girls bike..I think that its a horrible stereotype.

THere is a guy at work that has a Sporster 1200 Nightster, bad *** looking with apes and ShortShots..I love it..not a girls bike at all.Also the new IRON 883 looks pretty banging as well.

I have heard a few people at work say "its a girls bike," yet they have Kawasaki 900 or a Yamaha bike.Id take a Sporster over any other brand motorcycle that is completely plastic all over the place.

Depends on the persons size, one of my buddies wants a sporster, he is about 5'5 in height, will fit him perfect.

Also a deluxe, never heard it referred as a girls bike before
