anyone running AMSOIL advanced in all 3 holes???

just onedering if anybody out there is running Amsoil 20W-50 Advanced Synthetic Motorcycle Oil in their engine, tranny & primary... i am getting ready for a fluid changeout and really like the idea of buying 1 product for all if its good. i was gonna buy harley syn3 but ive read mixed reviews and havent heard anything great from friends. my buddy was running HD syn3 in all 3 for his 07 road king and said it shifted better after he changed to amsoil, but he uses a different product for each part. also, does anyone know where you can get this stuff for a good deal? barrell oil price has dropped alot these past months but we are still paying a premium...

I run the oil in the engine but use Bel ray for the trans and no wine or clank and I can find neutral. I use Motor FactoryŽ Primary Case Lube in the primary. because Amsoil has gone up so much I just switched to Mobil 1 for vtwin and it works as good. I have 30,000 miles in about 1.5 years and it runs great and no debris in the oil changes.

I run the Amsoil 20-50 in all three of the Train~ Runs fine without any problems~ Like you stated, it's much easier to stock a case of the one and just change them all out when neccesary~ I'm fixin' to put it in all three of the Beastly Bagger, too~ If you're just changin over, plan a double tap~ That is, after runnin them a few miles or so, change them all out again~ That way you get a good flush and eventually have all synth in there~ The Train tranny I flushed a few times even~ After the first, it was a little milky from the mix of Amsoil and the HD fluid that was in there~ After the second flush.. it's all good~ :)

thanks for the feedback. i am actually running the mobil1 vtwin in engine now. i will probably order a case of the amsoil (hope i can get a decent price on it) because i'd like to do what blue said and run it for a little then change it out again. amsoil says you dont have to do that because their prduct blends with all other oil types, but i dunno if i trust that... thanks again

I run amsoil 20-50 in all 3 holes, not a problem after 20,000 miles.

Hey Joshh... if you go to Amsoil's website and order from there... just pay the extra $20. (I think it is) for the 'Prefered Customer' program~ That will give you dealer status and knock a chunk off the price right then and there~ Then you get the discounted price for a year.. or however long you pay for~ I just renew my status every year~ ;)
