I was with a friend the other day, comparing my bike (2007 FXSTC) and his (2008 Street Glide). The question came up about having floorboards (footboards?) on a Softail Custom.

They are wide pegs that have a heel rest that flips down when you want it, up when you don't.
if you go out go all out. not those crappy aftermarket ones. get the exact floor board system that Harley puts on the fatboy or heritage. they can be had on ebay for 1/4 of the price you would get them at the dealer, from someone that want to do the exact opposite you want to
