Default 09 Crossbones warm starting problem

When my bike is warm, it hardly ever re-starts on the first crank. Fortunateley it usually starts on the second crank. Kind of embarassing still. Any ideas? Is this typical?

I have no problem with cold starting and so far no problem with subsequent starting attempts when it's warm.

Thanks, I might take it into the dealer and inquire there.

+2. Thought it was me. Always makes my heart skip a beat....grew up w/ POS cars that I never trusted when I was turning the key.....this always brings back horrible memories. Never correlated it to the warm start...but you are right.

My Heritage is the same way. If it's hot and I stop for gas or something it usually has to crank over a few times to start her up.
