Clicking noise from front end
For the past 3 weeks, I've had a clicking sound coming from what appears to be the lower fork legs. It only happens when I come to a stop. Most of the time it does it, sometimes not. Trying to narrow it down to the brake pads, caliper or maybe even the internals of the lower fork. I've previously had the lower legs apart, so that was a thought. I've tried to isolate it but can't pinpoint it. I've checked all of the nuts and bolts on the front end. I've been putting it off.
***** Yesterday, I found the problem and you'll be surprised at what it was. *****
So, I fixed it and a did a few other things to the trailer and he gave me a bottle of Crown Royal and a brand new pair of motorcycle boots (Harley) that were too big for him. I gave the Crown Royal to a friend and the boots were something that I'd never buy for myself but I started wearing them. They were comfortable enough, zippered tongue, etc... They have laces on them that don't do anything and on the end of each lace is a small dangling metal thing that I've been threatening to cut off or just take out the laces altogether. So, much to my delight, it ends up being the metal thing on the lace hitting the edge of the metal on the floorboard when I take my foot off of the floorboard as I come to a stop. Believe me, it sounds just like something loose on the front end!!!!! aw
