Default Where can I get a new set of tins?

I want to buy a complete set (tank and fenders) unpainted for my Heritage. I want to do a custom paint job, but I really want to keep the stock anniversary paint set as is, and just box it up and store it away. Anyone know where the best place to get a set is? What's a good price to pay? Thanks in advance.

If you go on ebay in the next 4 hours and search for harley heritage fender, you will find 2 separate auctions for a front and rear fender from a 2008 bike. I pasted both pages below. Both fenders have a little damage, however, given that you will be doing a repaint, no big deal. My guess is that you can pick them up cheap. Then do the same search for a tank.

Try Craigslist. I found some are cheaper.

I have a set off a 01 Fatboy, fuel injected. Front fender is obviously different but they are in great shape. Let me know. If you buy a new set you will have to do some body work to them, buy a used set and just give them a light sanding.

If you want tins that fit properly, get HD stuff. I bought a tank on evilbay that was a brand new take off with a very small dent for a hundered bucks. I had the tank soda blasted, and fixed the dent in about five minutes. I bought real HD fenders in primer from Surdyke HD for only $125 a piece. The repro stuff doesn't always fit too good.

Good luck
