Starter oil seal ...need help!
91 Heritage softail
harley gave me part number 12053A as the replacement part.
Replacing the starter oil seal. I think this is where I have been having problems with my jackshaft binding up. Which way does the starter oil seal go into the bike? I'm replacing the inner bushing also, which could have been part of the problem, but I just want to make sure everything goes in the correct way.
I'm attaching images to make it easier, does the side of image 1 or image 2 go toward the inner primary?, which means it would be facing the starter.
