Well I put a deposit down on a Slim S today. Supposed to have dibs on the first green one that shows up. Wrote up a deal on it, with them swapping allot of parts off my 13 Slim and installing on the S. Had been talking with my dealer for the past week about buying a new RK and trading in the XR1200X. But I love the green color scheme (I know it's not for everyone) and the 110 sealed the deal. So I'll sell or trade the FLS and pick up the S.

I've got time to reconsider if I so choose. While there, 5 other people came in inquiring about the Slim S and Fatboy S. They had 2 other deposits put down on both a FLS S and a Fatboy S today. They couldn't tell me when they would receive the bike though. No rush.

 

congrats! i think i would have done the same if i was in the market for another softail. disappointing that they didn't offer the 110" as an upgrade for the touring line... tho i guess its a good thing since it'll stop me from trading in

 

Did the moco get 110 out of the 103 cylinders and 103 cases or did they use the cvo cases and cylinders?

 

It says 110 on the case. I really like the Fatboy S. I also like pipes and ape hangers, so that'd put it close to the $25K range out the door. Too rich for my blood.

 

Nice dude! The slim S is WICKED cool! The best softail to come out since the breakout. I love it is themed after the WW2 WLA flathead Harley army motorcycle

 

I was thinking of putting deposit on the Fatboy S but just don't like the blacked out look. But it is growing on me so you never know . Great choice on your bike and Good luck .

I SO feel I bought the Deluxe at the wrong time.
G/F says swap it in for a Green Slim S but not convinced. Then she said that if I got the Slim could she borrow it. Right!

 

That new slim s is so cool. I love the army green. Not sure it's everyone's cup of tea but who cares it's your bike

 

At least on the Fatboy, I am surprised they didn't offer a version w/ chrome. Fatboy is all about chrome and all that blacked out look just cheapens it to me. And since it starts out relatively expensive, an owner changing to chrome parts would really make it expensive.
