Whats the motor mount do on my 2002 Fatboy besides hold the horn and choke **** in place? I want to know if I could get rid of it to custom mount my coil in that area.

It also has something to do with mounting your motor to the frame......I think.

it keeps the cylinders and heads from seperating.from the vibration.
it also keeps the vibration down .
makes it a solid mount to the frame.
do not remove it the vibration will cause the heads top come out of alignment.

You can relocate the horn and choke and then attach your coil to the mount....
they also make custom motor mounts....

don't think it's something you would want to remove completely....

I wonder is the custom mounts are as good as the stock for the vivbration/alignment aspect?
