Default HSR42 Mikuni and RSD Velocity Upgrade

Okay I got it on and it's running great... I should have done the Carb a long time ago. It's really a day and night difference... Anyone with the stock CV carb should make the switch... it's well worth the 300 bucks in my opinion.

Dip stick anyone... lol

it looks great! Mikuni carb improves throttle response and faster acceleration, it should make a difference. That velocity stack looks sick, I wonder how good the screen filter is.

Thanks man... Yeah I'm throwing around some ideas for a Uni sponge filter on the inside... If anything that'll be the excuse for the big bore kit later... lol

Good idea, you wouldn't like sand and dirt going into the cylinders. I really like those velocity stacks, thinking of get one long time ago but what holds me back is the filtering.

Amen to that. I switched my CV carb out and have been very pleased with the results. It is a night and day difference.

Hey Story, looks great, but how are you going to use one of your fancy covers on there?

Can I use my backing plate with a Mikuni carb? And what kind of AC can be used with it?

lol... Whats funny is I never made one for myself... I guess I could never pick just one that I liked... if you go with the Mikuni 42-18 EZ kit it comes with the adapter to run your stock or screaming eagle backing plate, and your AC filter you have now... You have to reroute your throttle cables under the back bone for a strait shoot at the carb. But the good thing about the mikuni is you can use your stock cables unlike a S&S. Thats why I went mikuni... trust me it woke the motor up man!

Dust you can get the kit on ebay for like 270.00 with free shipping.

Niiiice, I have the 42Mikuni, one of my first performance mods. You should have gone with the chromed one since it is exposed by the tiny filter cover (JMHO), It was 400USD back when I got it...

WHO MAKES THAT BITCHING DIPSTICK????

Mimo.
