Driver's backrest for 08 Heritage

Is anybody familiar with this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/07-08...=p4506.c0.m245

I don't want to change my seat that came with the bike, but need a backrest. Any suggestions?
Would this one work?

Isabel

You'll have to change your seat, unless it's already set up for the a driver back rest.

I have the Firehouse contoured, studded backrest on my FLSTC too. Not too shabby but is lacking adjustability. For the price & quality I don't think it can be beaten though. You can find several that are adjustable but you will pay for that option....
All said & done, it's a great value for what you get.

Thank y'all for your input. (Hi "netvampire"...hope to get your order out next week)
I will definitely look into the Firehouse option. I rode Larry's Road King today which has an adjustable backrest. Nice...I guess I can't have it all.
Thanks again.

I bought the one from bestem that you're looking at and I love it. Put it on an 05 fatboy and completely took my back pain away. Well worth the money in my opinion.

i used to have a rideers backrest and really miss it. it makes long rides so much mor comfy. which ever one you choose you will absolutly feel better on long rides

I just purchased one from http://firehousecustoms.com/harleyhsc07.htm.
I got the contoured one, I had to weld 1" 10ga. plate and moved the 1/4" holes back 3/4" and it fits perfect, money well spent, no more back problems and I can stretch out.

I don't see any reason to change seats. I too went with the Firehouse Customs backrest. Here are a few pics of it on my '08 FLSTC. I had to have my local blacksmith shop bend the angle closest to the pad a bit more, now the pad sits perfect against my back. I love it.

I also have a Firehouse Custom Backrest on my 2008 Heritage, just got back from a 5785 mile trip from MD. to Salmon ID. and back. Bret 2005 has already modified his Backrest to make the back pad fit the contour of your back a little better, I plan to do the same. The Backrest is very well made at a reasonable cost. Am pleased with mine.
