I need to know how this seat fits on a 08 softail night train? It appears to have to be mounted from the sides ? I am getting ready to order one just need to know if there is an additional mounting kit or am I missing something? Thanks!
Cant tell ya how it fits but if you want to get an idea how it feels get and oak board and set it on you bike and sit on it. Just took mine off and bought a LaRosa. Couple of more inches of padding makes a big difference. Oh, and about a 1/3 of the price. Quality not as good but sure rides better.

They mount on the sides with two exsisting bolt holes on my 05' ....I had to buy the bolts for mine.
I'm actually used to mine now and honestly wouldnt know how to act on a comfortable cushy couch seat!! It has taken 7 months to acclimate my *** to the oak plank!
The deal for me is the riding position and the looks....My bike just dosent look right with a cushy fluffy seat. My seat needs to minimalist and sit me back and down as far as possible.....

If you are doing any 250+ mile days? You may want to put the stocker on before you leave the Crib!!
I don't see any side tabs on my frame. I do see 2 extra holes that are plugged on the fender. Wow might have to switch out all that stuff each time a seat change is in order? Kinda sucks.
