First post, and how cool is this forum!

Have searched through all the threads but can't find one on fitting passenger floorboards onto a deluxe if you have V&H Big Shots Long or Longshots. Was hoping to go with the tapered deluxe style footboards.

Is this possible? Has anyone got this set up? If so can you post some pics.

I know one of you guys out there has the answer.

I have the Big shot longs on my deluxe. They fit well below the stock passenger foot pegs. I think you could get just about any type of boards with the right mount...Keep us informed and how about some pics

Hey Deluxe, I just got my '06' Deluxe about 2 weeks ago and just waiting on the last of my parts and accessories to come into the HD dealer. Anyway I'm getting the Vance & Hines "Longshots HS" and did not know that this would be a potential issue. Do you or anyone else know if I'll be able to fit my new pipes with the stock floor boards in place? I like the stock floor boards but I guess I can get other ones or make some mods so that everything fits but I rather save my self the hassle. Anyone have this set up on their Deluxe?

If you mean the stock 'rider' footboards I don't think you will have any problems with your pipes.

As Billvaughn and lovetoride have confirmed it looks like we'll be ok with any passenger boards too.

I was just throwing the question out there in case anyone has run in to any problems, didn't mean to worry anybody.

At least you have your '06, still waiting for mine to arrive. How's the ride?

That's cool, thanks for the update. So I guess I'll be okay.

Anyway, I love my new Deluxe! It's really sweet looking and rides really nice. I actually picked it off the show room floor about 2 weeks ago so I didn't have to wait unless I wanted the black and white two tone color.

Now I actually don't know how any other bike feels like because this is actually my first motorcycle. I know I kind of just went for the big bike all at once but I'm doing pretty good so far and have been gaining my confidence in riding each time I go out there. I just have to remember to watch out for all the idiots in cars out there that don't give a @#$% about us motorcyclists.

I have the 05 deluxe with big shot staggards and have been told that you must use Softail heritage classic floorboards for the rear.

 

Hey Jtfrog, I'm getting the V&H "Longshots HS" along with the "Lindby" rear gaurds as rear passenger foot pegs do you or anyone else know if this will work for my setup?
