New Wheels for my Train?

What do you guys think? I kind of wish they brought the black powder coat up on the spoke nut a bit. Good deal? Should I get a 21x3.5" up front instead? I have the heartland kit on right now mocked up, so I'm thinking new wheels would make it all shine. The only thing that really concerns me are axles sizes and spacers. Lots of the problems I've seen with DNAs in other posts have been those issues or wrong hubs totally.

Hehe thanks, but I haven't bought it yet. Want to get some opinions first. I'm thinking of calling them and making the front wheel 21x3.5" and have them black powder coat the spoke nuts along with the rim and hub.

Dale

Nice!!! those wheels are bad ass!

DyNaBoB 11-17-2009 10:24 PM

naw .....you need some contrast, they look killer the way they are..........

I personally don't like those on a Night Train, I prefer the 60 spoke. I would definitely step up to the 3.5" front, thats what I am doing when I need a front tire. These are what I want to upgrade to.

I was thinking just getting the spoke nuts(right word?) powder coated black as well, but leaving the spokes themselves chrome or polished steel.

looks good the way there are. Might be a lot of xtra $$$ to change anyway....digging those spokes and the fact that U do away with tubes...

DyNaBoB 11-17-2009 10:36 PM

oh chit i thought the spokes wur black my bad..........id go black spokes chrome nuts and hub.............

I like them either way but prefer the colored spoke and chrome nipple for the contrast.Seems to be a crap shoot with DNA on getting the right stuff the first time.I've got Ride Wrights on the Train and DNA'S on my Sportster. The RW'S bolted on no spacer or axle size issues. The front wheel on the Sportster needed a bearing change and spacers for the front to fit.Easier for me to do that than dealing with them for the price and time frame to change.G.
