I have a springer and I have thought about it myself buttttt it just seems a little much.
It seems I have seen pictures of old time bikes with that on though.I think that rail has been around awhile.

Heres the bike that gave me the idea. I paid $25.00 for the stanchions at a swap meet new in the box. They normally cost $69.95
I have really grown to like them, I was undecided. If I want them gone I would weld the holes shut and bondo them and repaint the fender, no big deal.

Have added and removed more things on my bike than I care to admit. But never would drill a hole unless I was 100% certain about it and didn't care what others thought. Then...I would stop and not drill it any way because one day I might want to change the look. I'll go with some of the others and say "nay" on this one.

I like it! I think it looks good for your style of bike. My vote......keep em.

It's your bike - you do it how you like it. For me, I would like the center piece but I wouldn't like the side pieces.

Rocky, to each his own. I like added bling and you did a great job. Back in 1980 I had a solid brass 4" H x 6" L pig chromed and put it on the front fender of my black lowrider. I got many a thumbs up. As I said, to each his own.
