Default Anybody have flame linkage?

Just curious if anybody has it. I'm thinkin of gettin it for the night train, wonderin how tough it is to install. With the parts it comes with it looks pretty easy.

Install is fairly straight forward if you are reasonably competent with tools. Good time to add some Kuryakyn motor covers!

like straightforward enough that if I can tune my car and install my own windshield kit I can do this? It dosn't look tough, but I don't wanna get myself into trouble.

Whenever I have flame linkage, especially chrome, I take a couple Tums, maybe a Tylenol or two, and go riding.

I want one of those so bad but I just can't see $200 for a pretty foot long rod. Skip would buy one but he heard it was stainless and not real chrome, so he made his own.

I was thinkin of gettin one off ebay still in the package for around 100 bucks. Yeah, stainless, but it still looks cool.

If you could get it for $100 that'd be a good deal for sure.

Don't pay no 'tention to Snidely Whiplush; I hates chrome, and live for stainless! I made my shift linkage outta a piece of mild steel rod, threaded both ends, then painted it wrinkle black.

It's an easy install; measure the old one for its adjusted length, unbolt it, bolt on the new one, adjust it for length, then tighten 'er down.

With the stainless, you'll never have to worry 'bout the chrome flaking or pitting. (Notice how well "chrome" & "flake" go together? Could be Freudian!)

chrome wont get you home but it might get you laid! hasnt worked for me Yet! the install is pretty straight forward, make sure the bike is in neutral, and make sure the new rod is exactlly the same length as the old rod, install both ends then tighten!

good luck!!
