Progressive 422's
Question for you guys with the progressive 422 shocks.
I read that the shocks are shipped with the lowest preload setting. Where are you running your preload at? I ride 50 percent of the time two up, feels pretty good with just myself bouncing up and down on it, just not sure how I like how low it goes when the OL jumps aboard (yes she is a bit hefty). We rode two up with the stock shocks and never had a prob. Oh yeah I put them on after first snow and havent been able to ride with them on the bike yet. thanks in advance! Ray |
I kept my 422's @ tthe factory pre-load and haven't had any problems riding 2-up. When solo I keep them "slammed" down 2 inches; for 2-up I crank them uo about 1.5. I wiegh 145lbs and my wife is about 115 lbs.

I have the 422's and the same question - installed them and the snow started flying. I left mine at factory settings - I weigh 155 and progressive told me to keep them at factory settings.
