the sound is going to depend on the motor, compression and cam. the reason there so cheap is that they over stocked them. i have there longshots and love them. there loud but then my motor isnt stock.Vance & Hines Short shots?-dscf0608.jpg

I had Short Shots on my Stage I Dyna and liked them. Looked good, quality was fine. They are a bit on loud side all the time and at cruise...60-80 they are very noticeable. Best sound was high RPM shifts...best sound yet. Now have Rinehart staggered somethings and they are a little quieter overall, thankfully lack that loudness at cruise but I miss the special sound at high RPM shifts. Big radius 2 into 1 next on the Deuce I think...John

My wife has them on her Street Bob & she had them on her Nightster prior. Great pipes.

One of the guys I ride with have them, they are right at the driver so they are loud he said. I have the staggards and now wish I had gone with the longshots. The staggards and the short shots sound the same to people around you, but the shorts sound louder to the driver of the bike.

Default Love my pipes

I liked my short shots , then I removed the baffles and now I love them.
Who cares if they weren't the most expensive out there !!!
Even better I say !!!
But I'm now thinking about ordering a black set !!!

I have them on my crossbones and love them! They have a really good sound. They are loud without the baffles but not obnoxious.
