Default Installing 'Flush Mount Fuel Cap & Gauge', any tricks or got-ya's?

Hello, I'm just purchased a set of 'Chrome Flush Mount Fuel Cap and Gauge (item #62818-06D)' for my 07 Fatboy, I wonder if anyone can provide me with some 'got-ya's' or 'tips' in installing.

Thanks so much!!!!

Installed on my 06 standard, really a piece of cake! A little awkward messing with the fuel guage wires, couldnt get them to release, so finally just cut the old ones off. Otherwise the instrucs were really pretty clear. Should be no problem.

Do I need to take the Gas Tank off, in order to unplug and replug the fuel gauge wires?

You shouldn't need to. Look up under the left side of the tank and you'll see the nipple the wires come out of. Follow them (they should be held up with a clip) and you'll see the plastic connector that connects them. Undo the clip and pull the wires down and it should be easier.
