Default (NT) Forward Control Extension Brake Adjustment

I have an 09 NT and just had the 3" forward control extension installed. The fit feels great except for the brake. Feels like the pedal is a bit too far forward of the peg. Like I have to flex my foot too far forward to get a good strong stop. Is there any adjustment on the brake pedal? I just need 3/4-1" on the brake pedal.

Sounds like your leg is over-extended. You probably should have gone with the 2" extension. What's done is done though. Unlike Dynas, there is no adjustment. Maybe something like this would help?

Sounds like you need to bleed the rear brake a little more. I installed the 3" extensions on my Night Train last year, and after i first did it I had the same issue. I had to push down pretty hard and extend my foot more than normal to get the rear brake to work. I bleed the brakes a little more, and got a few air bubbles out and its perfect now.

I had that same issue with my 09 Train. The shifter was perfect but the brake was a bit too far. I added a Kuryakyn pedal cover ( 8029 ) over the existing pedal cover and now it's perfect. Just adding that little bit made a difference.

Mine felt like it was a little too far when I first installed the extensions too. Now I am used to it.

Dark Train, you nailed it. They needed to bleed the brakes a little more. Pedal was spongy and I had to push it too far to get a good brake. Now it is firm and works like it should. Thanks for your tip!
