update to mor powet

After getting some advice on adding more power to my 99 EVO motor I am planning on adding the following items next week

EV27 Cam
Ignition Module
Yost power tube
Coils

The guys at the Harley davidson dealer said that with these items I should be running with a twin cam 88 with a high flow air intake and pipes.

By the way I have the big sucker and Big Radius pipes.

What do you think? Should I feel a big increase over my stock EVO?

Thanks

Use the S/E adj ign module. Its great. Plug and play. 4 curves & 4 rpm settings
I love it.

If I were you I would try a set of these
http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup...7-8C2DEED4A43C

They are anti-reversion cones for the exhaust . In my chopper I running an EVO cam, some head work, pistons high flow intake, and 21/4" Porker upswept’s and they seemed to help my low to mid range some.

Hey JB,

I have Porkers on my bike and I have the HD download and SE A/C Kit (no PC III or SERT). I am looking for a way to make my bike stop backfiring. It doesn't do it all the time, just here and there. My HD dealer reccomended the power cones or anti-reversion cones but he said he is not sure if they will help. I have also considered a set of Thundermonster Baffles. Do you think any of these items will help with the backfiring.

Anyone else have any ideas?

thanks,

WARG

I put the cones in when I built the bike and am running a tweeked CV carb 190 main 55 low speed drilled slide and cut 3 coils off the slide spring and cleaned up the bore of the carb also, and have never had a pop of bang out of it. So it might help.

I had a '95 Roadking with a similar set up except I had the EV 13 rather than the 27, tuned carb, and HD touring Mufflers. It would definately run with my 2005 TC with the Stage 1, Touring Mufflers and Factory down load.

I tried a Yost and found that I could get just as good of results with just a jet change, 1988 1200 Sportster needle and two coils cut off of the slide spring. I used a 48 slow jet and a 185 main jet if I remember correctly. Took 2 1/2 turns out on the idle screw.

I didn't do the coils or the ignition module and still had very good results, so your results should be even better than mine.

Regards,

Bill

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will let everyone know what it feels like as far as power later on this week or next.
