THIS pic shows the original size, original style leather bags for a Fatboy. Some may criticize the smallish capacity and may even say they look a bit "off"... But I say it is PERFECT and goes back to the original Fatboy of 1990. Harley sized these bags to fit nicely above the Fatboy-only "Shotgun-Style" over-under exhaust pipes (they have been replaced in this pic by nice VH Shortshots). These Pony-Style bags hearken back to the days of the Wild West and Pony Express.
Yes...IF you change your stock Fatboy pipes to low, staggered style then you can fit bags sized more like Heritage Softail bags; or even FLH-style hard bags. To me, it is ALWAYS great to see the matching Pony Bags on any Fatboy.
