I finished mine (is it ever really finished) before I took my latest trip.

The set up worked great, even got caught in a torrential down poor east of Missoula.
Every thing in the dry spec bag stayed dry.
I like the lighter weight (vs a trunk) and the rick rak worked great for easy/quick on and off.

My gf finally got her's finished a couple months ago.
She's put a few thousand km's on it since and all is good.

Yes, the tips are upside down but they don't extend past the bag and the tip actually touched the bottom of the bag so.......

It's just something about those hard bags. Some great looking motors posted up.

The bike has the HD detachable bags. I've run them for close to 5000 miles including one trip of 2100 miles. I was initially unimpressed with their quality as the glued on, vinyl covering, was peeling at the corners on the backs. This was not visible from the front of the bags but it bothered me. Consequently, I took them to Javier Upholstery in the Dallas/Ft Worth area for a re-do. Javier stitched them in blue to match my Saddlemen seat and stapled the vinyl so the bags now look great from every vantage point.

Tiny! There enough air? What are you using for a tuner? And is there any other filter there other that steel mesh?

Default Softail bagger build.

I've been working on the bike (2000 Heritage Softail) as I have time throughout the winter to add a front fairing and hard saddle bags. Everything has went fairly smooth but I do have a couple of questions.

I am wanting to put a bigger front wheel on the bike, possibly a 21" or in that area. Can anyone tell me if a wheel that size will fit under the front fender, if I can get away with raising it, or what exactly will have to be done to a comidate the new wheel?

Also, I've been looking for the front saddlebag gaurds but have only found the style for soft saddlebags, not hard. I'm using hard bags off a 2008 street glide. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Does this count?

My version of a "Sport type".
Working on a larger front fairing with the design inspired by the Victory bikes but much smaller.
