Unhappy Suggestion for Passenger Seat Cushion

I bought a new seat, and its great for me, but the wife is having issues with the new ride. Thats a whole other story, but what I am looking for is suggestions on a secondary pad she can use...I see these things, like butt buffer, butty buddy, etc...but not sure if they actually work....I was thinking of having a custom pad built, but wanted to see if you guys know of anything worthwhile.....Thanks

I have the same issues with the wife. I have heard good things about Mean City Cycles seat modifications. I've been thinking about sending them my seat. Check out their web site.

Website for Mean City Cycles is interesting, thanks for the info. Has anybody used them, and how did it go?

Check out Rich' custom seats too.
They did a great job on mine and my passenger seat too.

Default If you don't wanna spend the $$ for custom

If you want to avoid spend big bucks for custom try a Air Hawk seat cushion. My wife loves it and we travel long hards days too.

I've got nothing but GOOD to say about MCC. I had them rework a softail standard seat that I put on my FatBoy to replace the POS stock seat. not only were they able to "move" me back and down about 2 inches, they also put in 2 inches of memory foam. I didn't have the passenger pad replaced.

My better half really likes her sheep skin. Might be worth a try.

I've looked high and low on my 'pooter and can't find the article - but I'd found a blog about seat pads. Basically they were saying that you have two problems riding for the most part: either you have sweaty butt and the concurrent possible acid burns, or the lack of circulation that causes MonkeyButt...or both.
Sheepskin won't cure MB, but will breathe.
Gel won't cure sweating but will spread out the load and help circulation.
Oh, and leather breathes but naugahyde doesn't. That's the gist of it all.
