Good Question!
I am in the process now. I am making my Lo a classic bagger. I am adding Road King Classic Leather bags. I will post pics when I am done.

Keep in mind, this conversion is not cheap if yo do it right.

Check this thread out.

Dan

Whoooo big fella. A Lo is a Lo. We each put our own spin on them. Mine has had many looks and functionality over the years.

You going to kick me to the curb once I add the RK Bags?
I already have a windshield and stereo...

The bags arrived Friday, the mounting brackets show up Monday.

I just picked up the Leather Pros TB3900 trunk bag to go with my LP4000 bags. I'll post some pics once I get it mounted. I will only be using it for long trips. I believe some members have had this setup in the past so I'm sure you can dig up the pics if you search.

That made me laugh. no. i just love the look of the fat boy as it is. i like street glides too, but wouldn't try turning it into a fat boy.. we all like what we like

I too love the look, that's why I have one.

The end result is whether you put a suit, blue jeans, G-string or armor covering on it. We all consider it our own work of art and the functionality or purpose it serves us.
It may look like a street glide on the outside, but it is still a Lo underneath.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig...

Man I kill myself sometimes...

Welcome,

It's been done many times, search this thread, search the Softail section, and you can even Google it, most likely it will get you right back here. Too many options as far as mounting and bag manufactures as to say "this is the way to do it". Your Lo is yours and you're free to do whatever you like. These projects tend to get expensive so do your research and price everything out, you may find a touring bike makes more sense, depending on your goals. A Softail is a very versatile platform and you already have IMHO the best looking Softail made. Good luck and we're here to help, most of us anyway (Dan) LOL
