Traitor! Just kidding. That's a sweet bike and you gotta keep the ho's happy, believe me I know.

By the way, your former Fatboy is real similar to mine:

Congrats on the new ride Jim

I was lucky enough to keep mine when we picked up the CVO Street Glide last year, although I don't get much time to ride either of them

I live in the Southern California Desert and ride sometimes in temperatures exceeding 110; my garage gets up to over 120 on many summer days. Batteries don't like that heat and don't last as long because of it. When I had the "stalling" problem, I took the battery out and had it tested at two different auto parts stores (I didn't trust the results from the first). Testing equipment at both shops reported that the battery passed and was still good. As the problem continued I decided just to try changing the battery as the one I was using was a couple of years old and like I said and knew from experience, they just don't like extreme heat. Changing the battery solved the problem for me. I also now put her on a Battery Tender almost all the time when not in use, from what I've read, doing so keeps the battery in better condition and can be particularly beneficial in high temperature conditions.
No worries, I was getting close to needing a new battery anyway and I had one on hand. Anyway, I got the bike back from the shop today and I had the 10k service done along with a pair of tires and it runs great once again. It stalled for the shop as well and it did not throw any codes but the problem was a pin hole in the fuel line that goes up in the tank from the bottom. Monster Motorcycles and owner Tony P. in Palm Coast FL did a great job with everything and the bike is so much better in every respect such as shifting, idle, etc. and if you are in town for any of the Daytona bike events and need a mechanic call Tony and he will pick your bike up and take care of any problem you may have.

Looking at different engine guards and a seat, but the Fatboy is finished for now.

Looks good, i'm about to swap over the that same front end on my NT, ordered a set of 1.5" bars and they just look too big for the front end but i love the height and feel of the bars so figured it was a good excuse to beef up the front.

I am 6'2" and want to move driver boards forward a few inches and out maybe an inch. I'm looking for ideas to do I think from scratch or buy a market item. What has worked for you?

I am 6'2" as well and I fit perfect, but have you tried a different seat? Otherwise you are looking at getting someone to customize it, such as a metal shop that has a welder.

No, haven't done the seat. Risers and frame mounted pegs as far as positioning. I take an annual trip about 1500 a 2000 miles in 7 days. That's when I feel I'd like to stretch a bit more. Do you have a seat suggestion?

I have gone through 4 seat on my Lo now and I wound up with a Drag Specialties with rider back rest, but many think it is too hard and too low so probably not for you! There are so many seat options you will have to try them out or wait for someone else to chime in.

I've had only one seat, the Ultimate with the back rest. Never will be another seat for me

I forgot that was one that I had and yes, it was comfy but I liked the way the Drag Specialties looked better and I cannot ride often or long due to back problems so looks are more important.
