If you're looking to buy some Heritage bags I have some off my '07. They're perfect. The bike had less than 700 miles on it when I bought it and it was garage kept.

"Scrapes too easily"??? I don't get that one... I never scrape floorboards in a turn unless I want to....not that it's an issue...that's what they are there for..so what if it scrapes??

Probably cheaper to just spend the extra $ on the custom paint upgrade than outfit a Deluxe like a Heritage. The paint upgrade eliminates the swoosh.

The 2009 Heritage tank emblem is removable - replace it!

I went "retro" with mine... and I think the paint looks like a '57 Chevy Bel-Air. Changing the tank emblem, retro grips, visors EVERWHERE, plain can over the SE A/C, plain chrome timer cover... I LIKE it!

I have an 07 Deluxe and am 230lbs and have only scraped twice. I have a set of old school bags i bought off ebay and they flap over so the lids dont colapse. there is a pic in my album. It sound like what you dont like about the Heritage is gonna cost more than what you dont like about the Deluxe. Good luck which ever way you decide.

IWannaChop,

I know just what you mean about scraping those floorboards too easily in a curve! I have a ’09 Deluxe and I love to aggressively ride the switchbacks, but I’m scraping the rear of both floor boards way too often, and I only weigh 125 lbs!

Does anyone know of any way to raise the floorboards, or at least the rear portion of the floorboard?

Lucy

how was the install on the deluxe turn signal?...also did you have to modify any of the electrical connections? Looks great..thats exactly what I want to do. Did you check into the tombstone tail lite at all? wanted to change that also, but reading it is compatible and not compatible with the heritage fender.
