Default 2005 Heritage Classic used pricing w/low miles

I'm seeing prices all over the charts right now for used Harley's on the internet and dealers, but I found a used 2005 (black) Heritage Softail Classic w/ Vance and Hines big shots, few other chrome accessories, little under 3k miles, for 13,400.00. Sounds a little too high, do you guys think this is a deal or maybe could come down a little?? Thanks for any input!

I just bought a 2004 Heritage with only 1,100 miles on it through a private seller for $10,000. I have been waiting for years to find this kind of a deal so I could replace the 2002 Heritage that I lost in a fire in 2005.

Now that's a deal!! I'm a cash buyer, so I'm weighing all my options, I don't want to jump the gun too quick!

I can tell you I bought a 2003 Heritage with 800 miles in 2008 for $15,000. The guy I bought it from paid $30,200 in 2003 with all the extras. Thats when MOCO had everyone in a headlock with top prices and they weren't bending. In retrospect I paid too much but the bike was perfect and only had 800 miles. I think you can do better. Good luck. The Heritage is a great bike though.

Some of the time it depends on the time of year and where you're located.

Buy in the winter, sell in the summer.

The farther up north you are, the lower the price.

I bought my '02 Heritage in January this year. The salesman said he hadn't sold a bike since around Nov/Dec of last year.

I think I got a good deal. Bottom line, if you're happy and the seller is happy, you got a good deal!!!!

NADA Guide says 10,100 - 11,900 retail sales are still a little slow so I think you can get one for a little less if you shop.

But whats important is if you like the bike and are happy with it then the price was rigt and you got a good deal.

If you're gonna pay $13,000 for a used Heritage, you should be looking at a later model with 96ci and 6 speed. You should be able to find a 2007 for 13K. Keep in mind that the Heritage had a big price drop for 2010, which brings the resale down on everything. If you really like the 2005, I wouldn't go much above 10K for it.

Check out chopperexchange! I just found a 07 Heritage with 2,500 miles for $13,500 in Sussix WI. I'm sure you can get them down to under $13,000.

Hey Everyone, I'm new here and I'm also in the market. I've been looking in the Cycle Trader and there seems to be better deals there than Ebay or Craigslist. I found a 2005 Deluxe for 12k and a 2008 Deluxe for 14.5k. The '08 has 7000 miles and is loaded with Bags, windshield, True Duals etc. Keep looking or try to talk him down. What's funny is, Dealers have lower prices on used bikes than Private Sellers, where before it was the other way around.
